The students learn something about preparation for architect’s work: concept making, decision finding, communication of relevant content (architecture, construction, structure materials, building physics, building services) and its relation to inner and outer space.
Furthermore they gain basic knowledge of developing facade principles while considering different conditions governing location depending on the given task and they develop, discuss and evaluate different solutions for challenging facade constructions in an overall design approach for a case-study building in different climatic regions.
The students applying the knowledge in concept and construction drawings for the given project (scale 1:100 to 1:50) present and discuss their results in the plenum.
