If you start answering a specific architectural/technical question -maybe a question from a client or out of pure curiosity-you will find out that you have to add to your existing knowledge and skills, new insights and expertise.
This means: Research! If you don´t want to end up in your research in all kind of messy corners in the internet and other dead-end streets, it is good to organise your research. This means: Method!
This is what C4/S4 is about
Assignment 1: Research the role research plays in the work of a specific architect.
Assignment 2: Mimicry DESIGN USING MIMICRY TACTICS The use of the word mimicry dates to 1637. It derives from the Greek term mimetikos, "imitative", in turn from mimetos, the verbal adjective of mimeisthai, "to imitate". Originally used to describe people, "mimetic" was used in zoology from 1851, "mimicry" from 1861.(wikipedia)
Assignment 3: Develop a research question on the topic 'Industrial heritage' Write an abstract (max 300 words) and plan on how you want to reseach your subject. (Note: it is a preparation for a research, it prepares for C5 in the winter semester 2021)
