An der TH OWL kann in Kooperation mit einer Universität oder über das Promotionskolleg NRW (PK NRW), welchem im November 2022 das eigenständige Promotionsrecht verliehen wurde, promoviert werden. Professorin Dr. Jessica Rubart ist professorales Mitglied in der Abteilung “Informatik und Data Science” des PK NRW und ist in mehreren Betreuungsteams aktiv.
