1. Lehrveranstaltungen

In einer globalisierten Welt, die von getrennten, ineinandergreifenden, spezialisierten Funktionen bestimmt wird, ist die Logistik neben Einkauf, Produktion, Vertrieb und Marketing ein Schlüsselbereich eines Unternehmens und entscheidend für die Erlangung eines Wettbewerbsvorteils.

Als Professorin bin ich verantwortlich für das Wissen, das ich den Studenten vermittle, und für die Methoden, die ich anwende, um zum Lernen zu motivieren.

Genauer gesagt glaube ich, dass es das erste Ziel eines jeden Lehrenden ist, eine angemessene Lernatmosphäre im Vorlesungssaal zu schaffen, die die Studenten dazu ermutigt, sich aktiv an Diskussionen zu beteiligen und sich in den Unterrichtsprozess einzubringen. Ich beziehe immer solche Themen ein und verwende solche Materialien, die den Studenten nicht nur theoretisches Wissen vermitteln, sondern auch vom praktischen Standpunkt aus nützlich sind.

Meiner Meinung nach ist es für den Lehrprozess sehr wichtig, die Aufgaben so zu gestalten, dass kritisches Denken durch die Verwendung von Primär- und Sekundärquellen gefördert wird. Ich bin mir sicher, dass schriftliche Aufgaben im Zusammenhang mit einer mündlichen Präsentation wesentlich zur Entwicklung der Fähigkeit der Studenten beitragen.

Mir ist bewusst, dass die Studenten unterschiedliche Erfahrungen, Vorkenntnisse und Einstellungen haben. Deshalb konzentriere ich mich in meinen Vorlesungen (unabhängig davon, ob es sich um eine große oder kleine Gruppe von Studenten handelt) intensiv darauf, ihre Stärken zu entwickeln und gleichzeitig ihre Schwachpunkte zu verbessern. Um das zu erreichen, nutze ich verschiedene didaktische Ansätze wie interaktive Methoden, Planspiele, Präsentationen und Diskussionen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass jedem Studenten die Notwendigkeit und Wichtigkeit von Wissen für eine erfolgreiche Karriere bewusst ist. Auch halte ich es für sehr wichtig, die Studierenden zu ermutigen, eng mit dem Dozenten zusammenzuarbeiten, um ihre Ideen und Eindrücke zu diskutieren.

Meine Vorstellung von der Beurteilung der Studierenden spiegelt meine Überzeugung wider, dass sie das Wissen in einem Kurs so beherrschen sollten, dass sie nicht nur die Vertrautheit mit den wichtigsten Definitionen und Konzepten aufzeigen, sondern – was noch wichtiger ist – die Studierenden ihre Fähigkeit zur praktischen Anwendung des Wissens unter Beweis stellen.

Mir ist bewusst, dass einige Studierende mehr Unterstützung als andere benötigen, um die Erwartungen zu erfüllen. Deshalb begrüße ich es, wenn die Studierenden in meine Sprechstunde kommen, wo ich ihre Entwürfe durchsehen, spezifische Fragen beantworten und zusätzliche Erläuterungen zu bestimmten Themen geben kann.

2. Internationales Management

Das Fachgebiet Internationales Management erforscht organisatorische, personalwirtschaftliche und interkulturelle Fragestellungen vor dem Hintergrund der internationalen Zusammenarbeit über alle Wertschöpfungsstufen hinweg.

Ein Verständnis für internationales Business ist für Studierende in der heutigen interdependenten globalen Welt unerlässlich. Wir vermitteln den Studierenden die Kenntnisse, Fähigkeiten und Fertigkeiten, um das globalwirtschaftliche, politische, kulturelle und soziale Umfeld zu verstehen, in dem die Unternehmen agieren.

Darüber hinaus werden die Studenten darauf vorbereitet, Strategien, Pläne und Taktiken zu formulieren, entwickeln und auszuführen, um in internationalen Geschäftsunternehmungen erfolgreich zu sein.

Auf den immer komplexer werdenden Finanzmärkten treten eine Reihe neuartiger Unternehmen wie Online-Banken und Brokerfirmen in Erscheinung, die ständig neue Finanzprodukte, Finanzinstrumente und Finanzdienstleistungen anbieten. Die Menschen müssen darauf vorbereitet sein, in einem zunehmend risikoreichen und globalisierten Markt qualifizierte Finanzentscheidungen zu treffen; dies gilt sowohl für entwickelte Volkswirtschaften als auch für Schwellenländer.

Schlussfolgerungen, die auf Umfragen zur Finanzkompetenz in OECD-Ländern beruhen, zeigen, dass das Verständnis der Menschen für Finanzfragen gering ist, insbesondere bei bestimmten Gruppen, wie z. B. Menschen mit niedrigem Bildungsstand und geringem Einkommen.

Finanzielle Bildung wird von verschiedenen Menschen unterschiedlich eingeschätzt. Einige würden sich selbst als finanziell gebildet ansehen, wenn sie ein breites Spektrum an Finanzwissen besitzen, wie z.B. das Verständnis komplizierter makroökonomischer Sachverhalte und deren Auswirkungen auf alltägliche finanzielle Entscheidungen im Haushalt. Andere wiederum würden sich ausschließlich auf den grundlegenden routinemäßigen Umgang mit Geld konzentrieren. Offensichtlich umfasst finanzielle Bildung jedoch sowohl makroökonomische als auch eng gefasste Themen.
