Abstract
The study explores the dependencies and potential correlations between customized prefabrication and circularity. Based on combining a systematised building concept with a circular approach, it optimizes the construction and deconstruction processes of buildings through continuous digitalisation. The research therefore focuses on a systematised construction approach that allows for adaptive planning through combinations within the specific construction method and in the combination of components with each other. This results in the design of adaptive components that can be customized further as digital details via the digital description model, and ultimately manufactured in automated processes. The research examines and evaluates the relationship between materials, construction methods, flexibility, durability and efficiency to specify that individualized system constructions are essential for a circular building industry.
